A 19-year-old from Nevada died Thursday in a drowning at Sand Hollow State Park in southern Utah, authorities said.
According to a news release, the man was swimming near the dive park at Sand Hollow Reservoir around 3 p.m. and was not wearing a life jacket.
Authorities said he went underwater, and bystanders pulled him from the water. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
