The Clark County School District Police Department said it arrested teacher Kha Nam Nguyen, 51, on Friday.
Nguyen was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges related to child abuse, the CCSDPD said in a statement.
The arrest stems from an investigation at Wing and Lilly Fong Elementary School in northwest Las Vegas in February 2026.
Nguyen, employed by CCSD since January 2007, is a fifth-grade teacher, last assigned to Fong Elementary School.
“Nguyen has been assigned to home since the beginning of the investigation per the terms of the negotiated agreement with the bargaining unit,” CCSDPD said.
