A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and killed Friday night in Las Vegas, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said the driver showed signs of impairment.
The bicyclist was hit at Rancho and Sunset drives just before 7:45 p.m. on Friday, Metro Lt. Sam Bonner said in a text message.
The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital, where they died, Bonner said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and showed signs of impairment, Bonner said.
As of 9 p.m. on Friday, the intersection remained closed.
