
Several of the top high school swimmers competed at a meet Thursday at Pavilion Center Pool.
Among notable standouts were Coronado girls swimmers and 2025 first-team All-Southern Nevada selections Lia Carrington and Grace Carrington.
Lia Carrington won the 100-yard backstroke (1 minute, 3.46 seconds), and Grace Carrington won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.81). The Cougars are seeking a fifth straight Class 5A team state title.
For the boys, Boulder City’s Duncan McClaren (50-yard and 100-yard freestyles) and Ezekiel Pittman (200-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke) won two events each.
