A Las Vegas man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison Wednesday for possession of child sexual abuse material on his digital devices, according to a U.S. Department of Justice release.
Max Milton, who was on federal supervision for a prior conviction of coercion and enticement of a minor, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. He also will be subject to 30 years of supervised release, according to the sentence from Chief United States District Judge Andrew P. Gordon.
In addition to his sentence of imprisonment, Milton will be required to pay restitution to his victims and to register as a sex offender in the place where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Afroza Yeasmin prosecuted the case as a part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the epidemic of child sexual exploitation.
