An attorney for Scott Thompson, the comedian known as Carrot Top, is asking a Florida judge to restrict a singer from filing additional documents.
Brian Evans, a former opening act for Thompson, was recently accused of extortion by the comic’s lawyer, Ronnie Bitman.
Thompson was hospitalized Friday after a reported suicide attempt at his Las Vegas home, and his return to the stage remains uncertain.
In an emergency motion Sunday in Broward County civil court, Bitman requested “immediate gatekeeping procedures before Plaintiff’s next filing causes additional, irreparable harm.”
“This is now an emergency in the most human sense,” Bitman wrote, his words in the filing bolded and underlined. “On September 18, 2026, two days after this Court’s evidentiary hearing, Thompson was hospitalized following a suicide attempt.”
