The United States champion Paseo Verde Little League team received a hero’s welcome back in the Las Vegas Valley on Monday afternoon, complete with a water arch from local firefighters and a cheering section waiting as the players stepped into the terminal.
The Paseo Verde official Instagram account highlighted those responsible for helping make the team’s return home a celebration after it captured the second consecutive U.S. championship for the Mountain Region and Nevada, following Summerlin South’s title in 2025.
“Huge thank-yous go out to Clark County F.D. #13, Henderson Councilwoman Monica Larson, Clark County Commissioners (James) Gibson and (Michael) Naft for making this happen,” the post read. “What a way to cap off a heck of a run. Home really does mean Nevada!”
The Henderson, Nevada, team defeated Hamilton, Ohio, representing the Great Lakes Region, last Saturday to claim the U.S. championship and advance to the Little League World Series championship game.
Paseo Verde ultimately fell to Curaçao in the world championship game, finishing as the runner-up in its first appearance in the Little League World Series championship game.
