The Las Vegas Raiders needn’t look to far to fill out their practice squad Monday afternoon.
The Raiders ensured the 16-man unit is chock full of training camp participants, signing strictly players who practiced with them at Intermountain Health Performance Center the last month-plus.
The signees include: running backs Roman Hamby and Dare Ogunbwoale, tackles Niklas Henning and Kamar Missouri, center Will Putnam, wide receiver Deven Thompkins, tight ends Chris Myarick and Albert Okwuegbunam Jr., defensive linemen Brandon Cleveland (a rookie seventh-round draft pick), Jahfari Harvey, Cian Sloane and Gary Smith III, linebacker Cameron McGrone, defensive backs Greedy Vance and Devin Lafayette and kicker Kansei Matsuzawa.
NFL clubs can elevate two practice squaders per week to the active roster on game days, returning them to the practice squad unless they sign them to the active roster. Practice squaders can’t be called up to the active roster more than twice without being signed to a standard contract.
