Las Vegas Aces forward NaLyssa Smith suffered a non-contact left knee injury during the third quarter of Sunday’s matchup against the Toronto Tempo in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Following a steal by Jewell Loyd, Las Vegas pushed the ball in transition, with Jackie Young finding Smith cutting toward the basket. Smith came down awkwardly while attempting to corral the pass and immediately grabbed her left knee.
Smith was evaluated by the Aces’ training staff before being helped off the court. She was unable to put weight on her left leg as she was escorted toward the Aces’ locker room.
Smith, who leads the WNBA in field-goal percentage, has averaged 11.8 points and 6.4 rebounds over 37 games this season.
