I spent four years as an undergraduate studying biological science. I spent four years in medical school learning how to treat medical conditions. I spent three years in pediatric residency learning how to treat and prevent infections in children. I spent 40 years experiencing the effects of vaccines and infections in children.
Donald Trump graduated Wharton business school. And he has the nerve to sign an executive order urging parents to space out vaccines for their children, contradicting all that I and thousands of other doctors have learned — and know to be true — about infections and their prevention? As my grandmother would say, “What chutzpah!”
How about we let educated health care professionals have a role in determining the best immunization practices for our country.
