The Review-Journal’s Victor Joecks hit it square on the head with his recent column about the WNBA. The WNBA is beginning to look a lot like the WWF. Only difference is there are 10 on the floor at a time instead of two at a time in the ring. The takedowns are the same. The trash talk is the same, and the outrageous comments from the players and coaches is the same.
I used to be so proud of the Las Vegas Aces. They seemed to have brought so much added respectability to the city. Between them and the Vegas Golden Knights, we had a lot to be proud of. And I was always anxious for the new WNBA season to begin. No more. The Aces and all the other WNBA teams play now for political reasons it seems. Too bad.
Since all the fighting and statements about “inclusion” of transgender players, I’m over it. Not watched one game this season. Seems the WNBA just can’t help shooting itself in the foot.
I’m sorry, but boys are boys and girls are girls. I don’t understand the confusion.
