While reading Jim Hayes’ Monday letter to the editor, I had a good morning laugh. He is very upset with Donald Trump’s leadership and looks forward to a return of democratic government .
I am curious to know if he is aware of the opposing party.
Recent primaries in New York featured victories for socialists/communists. These far-left candidates have openly said they will change the Constitution. They are open antisemites as well.
One New York candidate wants to close all prisons, ban deportations, disband police departments and have government pay for transgender surgeries. She may very well be a sitting member of Congress in 2027.
Another candidate running in Texas for the U.S. Senate (James Talarico) wants to open the border and put a welcome mat there. He states there are six genders (I can only name two) and that God is nonbinary.
If Mr. Hayes is supportive of these stances and wants to return to a democratic government he will not be successful with the current roster of candidates if they succeed in November. A recent poll disclosed that only 37 percent of Democrats are patriotic.
I am confident the majority of Americans will not support any of these aforementioned policies. Mr. Hayes says he wants a new motto proclaiming, “We survived Trump.” He may very well do that, but he will not survive communism.
