Colton Sissons’ run with the Vegas Golden Knights is over after one season.
The fourth-line center is heading to the Toronto Maple Leafs on a two-year deal with a cap hit of $4.25 million per season.
Sissons was acquired last June from the Nashville Predators, along with defenseman Jeremy Lauzon, in the trade that sent defenseman Nic Hague to Nashville.
The 32-year-old had 11 points in 66 games last season and followed with eight points during the Knights’ run to the Stanley Cup Final.
Sissons showcased his versatility by playing wing during the playoff run, but the writing was on the wall for him to move on when the Knights acquired center Nic Dowd at the trade deadline.
The Knights addressed winger Wednesday with the reported signing of Victor Olofsson.
