The Vegas Golden Knights rallied from two goals down to tie it, but ultimately lost 5-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday.

The series is tied 2-2. Game 5 is at Lenovo Center on Thursday.

Carolina captain Jordan Staal scored twice, including the go-ahead goal while falling down at 6:32 of the third period.

Center William Karlsson had a goal and an assist, and Brett Howden scored his franchise-record 14th goal of the playoffs.

The Knights trailed 3-1 after the first period. The Hurricanes scored twice in the first 3:28 of the game before captain Mark Stone cut the lead in half.

Staal scored a power-play goal at 12:48 to restore the two-goal lead.

It’s the first time in Stanley Cup Final history that a series has multi-goal comebacks in four different games.

Carolina forward Nik Ehlers scored into an empty net with 54.8 seconds remaining.

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
