
Police have arrested a man in a fatal stabbing Thursday night in the eastern Las Vegas Valley.
The Metropolitan Police Department said they were called at 11:31 p.m. to a report of a person stabbed in the 6300 block of Peach Orchard Road, near East Sahara Avenue and North Hollywood Boulevard. Officers found a man suffering from stab wounds in the backyard of a residence. The victim was rushed to a hospital where he later died.
Police said witnesses pointed to Eder Castrejon, 23, as the person who stabbed the victim during a fight.
Castrejon was arrested at the scene and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of murder, police said. He is scheduled for an initial appearance in Las Vegas Justice Court on Saturday.
The identity of the victim had not been released as of Friday morning.
