Amazon has a new landlord for one of its many warehouses in Southern Nevada.
Los Angeles real estate investment firm PCCP acquired an Amazon-occupied industrial facility in North Las Vegas for $124 million, property records indicate. The sale closed last month.
The building is at 4550 Nexus Way, along Interstate 15 near Lamb Boulevard, and occupies a 38-acre footprint.
Amazon has a highly visible presence in the Las Vegas Valley, with its blue delivery vans constantly seen around town, and the recent sale marks the latest instance of a landlord paying big bucks for a building leased to the Seattle e-commerce giant.
PCCP did not respond to requests for comment.
Developer VanTrust Real Estate says it completed the 813,000-square-foot fulfillment center in summer 2017 and that the project was a “build-to-suit” for Amazon to accommodate large-scale merchandise.
VanTrust sold the property for $73.4 million in late 2017 as part of a two-building sale to a new landlord, the Las Vegas Review-Journal previously reported.
Amazon spokesman Matthew Gardea said in an email Tuesday that real estate transactions involving its facilities are matters for the property owners and that the company did not have anything to add about the latest sale.
He confirmed that Amazon currently operates 19 facilities across Southern Nevada.
