A gun was confiscated from a student at a Las Vegas elementary school this week, according to a letter sent to parents by the school’s principal.
In the letter, distributed Wednesday, Veronica Hunt, principal of Earl Elementary School, said a firearm was confiscated from a student on campus Tuesday.
Hunt said Clark County School District police responded to the incident and handled it.
“There were no threats made to students or the school,” the letter noted, adding, “This event serves as a reminder that weapons of any kind are not permitted on campus.”
