A Henderson man has been arrested and charged in a personal watercraft crash that killed one woman and left another missing at a Utah reservoir, according to online court records and media accounts.

Court records filed in St. George District Court show Antonio Omari Lewis, 23, is charged with two counts of negligently operating a vehicle resulting in death, a felony, and multiple other misdemeanor counts related to operation of a personal watercraft. ABC4 Utah and other media outlets reported that Lewis’s arrest stems from a crash at Sand Hollow Reservoir on Tuesday.

The Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division said on its Facebook page that officials received reports at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday that two people were missing at Sand Hollow Reservoir following an incident involving a jet ski.

Investigators, with assistance from the Hurricane, Utah, police and Washington County Search and Rescue, started searching for the two females last seen in the southern portion of the reservoir.

“It was reported that life jackets were not worn,” the agency said. “Alcohol is considered a potential contributing factor and one individual is in custody relating to this incident.”

On Thursday afternoon, the agency said the body of one of the missing women had been recovered.

“The search is continuing for the other missing female,” the agency said. “The Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division extends condolences to family and friends.”

This is a developing story. Please check back for details.
