The Vegas Golden Knights believe in Braeden Bowman.
The 23-year-old forward has signed a six-year extension with an average annual value of $3.4 million, the team announced Thursday.
Bowman has one year remaining on his entry-level contract. The deal will not go into effect next season.
The forward from Kitchener, Ontario, was called up from Henderson of the American Hockey League in November last season to fill in for the injured Mark Stone.
Bowman made most of his opportunity, playing in 54 games while scoring 26 points.
This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
