The Latin Heritage Parade is set to return to Downtown Summerlin, the vibrant and walkable urban core in the heart of the Summerlin master-planned community, on Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. Celebrating Southern Nevada’s rich Latin culture, the parade, which is sponsored this year by Minero General Contractor, is free and open to the public and runs along Park Centre Drive.
Now, in its second year, the Latin Heritage Parade showcases a fusion of music and dance from various local performers from diverse Latin American countries, including Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua, Columbia and beyond. It’s a joyful display of pride, unitya nd the enduring spirit of Latin culture.
“We’re thrilled to welcome back the second annual Latin Heritage Parade,” said Halee Harczynski, senior marketing director of Downtown Summerlin. “It’s been a pleasure collaborating with local organizations to create an event that pays tribute to and celebrates the many Latin cultures represented in Southern Nevada.”
Well-known for hosting seasonal and cultural parades, Downtown Summerlin’s annual parades include Lunar New Year, which celebrates Asian heritage; Lei Day, which celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage month; Parade of Mischief, which runs throughout October in celebration of Halloween; and the beloved Holiday Parade, which runs from mid-November through Dec. 19.
Now, in its 36th year of development, Summerlin offers more amenities than any other Southern Nevada community.
