Prep football roundup: Sanelivi sparks Liberty; Clark, Coronado, Basic win

Ezra Sanelivi rushed for three touchdowns, and second-ranked Liberty dominated from the start Friday in a 42-0 rout over visiting Tafuna (American Samoa).

QB Madden Delacruz added two TD passes for the Patriots (1-1), who host Skyridge (Utah) on Sept. 4. The Warriors fell to 2-1.

Clark 27, Virgin Valley 12: At Mesquite, Felix Romero rushed for three TDs as the Chargers (2-0) rolled to a victory over the host Bulldogs.

Kentrell White led the defense for Clark, logging three sacks.

Clark next hosts Boulder City on Sept, 4, while Virgin Valley plays at Spring Creek Sept. 4.

Coronado 55, Canyon Springs 14: At Canyon Springs, Matthias Rantissi rushed for two scores and Kaz Lewis returned a blocked punt for a TD as the Cougars (2-1) routed the Pioneers (0-2).

Coronado plays at Desert Pines Sept. 10, and Canyon Springs plays at Silverado Sept. 10.

Legacy 41, Reed 37: At Legacy, Jaelynn Love-Carter (266 yards, three TDs) connected with Kyree Perkins for the winning TD with 1:33 remaining to lift the Longhorns (2-1) over the Raiders (0-2).

Cam Turner added 92 rushing yards and a score for Legacy, which plays at Spring Valley Sept. 10.

Basic 34, Sierra Vista 12: At Basic, Louden Cahill had two TD receptions and a pick-6 to help the Wolves (1-1) defeat the Mountain Lions (0-2).

Rylee McCarty added two interceptions — one for another pick-6 — to help Basic, which hosts Green Valley Sept. 4. Sierra Vista hosts Cimarron-Memorial Sept. 4.

Foothill 28, Spanish Springs 24: At Spanish Springs, Ryder Dobbs connected with Nixon Gasperosky for an 8-yard TD pass late in the fourth quarter to give the sixth-ranked Falcons (2-0) a win over the Cougars (1-1).

Foothill hosts Mililani (Hawaii) Sept. 5.

Mountain View (Arizona) 63, Las Vegas High 0: At Mesa, Arizona, the Toros (1-0) led 42-0 at halftime on the way to a big win over the Wildcats (1-2).

Las Vegas hosts Foothill Sept, 10.

Durango 42, Pahrump Valley 34: At Durango, the Trailblazers (1-2) built a 27-0 lead before the Trojans (1-2) rallied to make it interesting.

Durango plays at Palo Verde Sept. 10, and Pahrump Valley plays at Chaparral Sept. 4.

Chaparral 51, Western 0: At Chaparral, Louis Taylor ran for three touchdowns and passed for another as the Cowboys (1-1) dominated in their victory over the Warriors (0-3).

Chaparral hosts Pahrump Valley Sept. 4, and Western hosts Cimarron-Memorial Sept. 10.

Centennial 74, Burbank (California) 41: At Centennial, the Bulldogs (2-1) scored the game’s first three TDs and rolled to a win over Burbank (1-1).

Centennial hosts Perry (Ariz.) Sept. 4.

Valor (Colorado) 46, Faith Lutheran 9: At Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Eagles’ QB Titus Huard was too much for the eighth-ranked Crusaders (1-2), passing for 296 yards and three TDs to lead his team to victory.

Faith Lutheran (1-1) hosts Damien (Calif.) Sept. 4.

Simi Valley (California) 35, Shadow Ridge 7: At Simi Valley, California, the Pioneers (1-1) led 21-0 and held the Mustangs (1-1) scoreless until midway through the third quarter.

Shadow Ridge plays at Laguna Beach (Calif.) September 4.

Mater East 26, Victor Valley (California) 7: At Mater East, S’Marion Coleman ran for an early score, and the seventh-ranked Knights (2-0) were on their way to a win over the Jackrabbits (1-1).

Mater East hosts Universal City (Calif.) Sept. 4.

Moapa Valley 42, Mojave 12: At Overton, Briggs Hickman carried 11 times for 123 yards and three TDs, and the Pirates (2-1) built a 42-6 halftime lead to cruise past the Rattlers (0-2).

Kamden Drosos completed 10 of 13 passes for 179 yards and three scores to help Moapa, which plays at Silverado Sept. 4. Mojave hosts Corona del Sol (California) Sept. 4.

Valley View (California) 55, SLAM! Nevada 12: At Bishop Gorman, TJ Blocker passed for 231 yards and two TDs, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Bulls from falling to the Eagles (2-0).

SLAM! Nevada (1-1) hosts Holtville (Calif.) Sept. 12.

Losee 21, Douglas 20: At Losee, Lucas Mamac scored on a 31-yard run late in the third quarter, and Joaquin Rogers’ extra-point provided the margin of difference in the Lions’ victory over the Tigers (1-1).

Losee (1-2) plays at Sloan Canyon Sept. 4.

Valley 40, Rancho 21: At Rancho, the Vikings rolled to a road win over the Rams (0-1) to improve to 2-0.

Valley next hosts Sunrise Mountain on Sept. 10. Rancho plays at Sunrise Mountain on Thursday.

Lincoln County 49, Cadence 0: At Cadence, the Lynx (3-0) stormed to a 20-0 halftime lead and dominated their way to a victory over the Cougars (0-2-1).

Cadence hosts Lake Mead Sept. 4.
