On Wednesday, a Las Vegas federal grand jury returned a 10-count indictment charging ‘six Chinese nationals’, according to release sent out by the United States Department of Justice. The six residing defendants are being charged for their alleged participation in a large-scale illegal marijuana grow operation with one grow house located near a public park.
‘This operation demonstrates that what appear to be localized grow operations are frequently backed by global criminal enterprises engaged in labor exploitation, weapons offenses, and multi-million-dollar money laundering schemes.’, said First Assistant United States Attorney Sigal Chattah for the District of Nevada.
