A pedestrian was killed Sunday morning in a crash near the Las Vegas Strip, and a driver was taken into custody on suspicion of impairment.
The crash between the pedestrian and pickup truck was reported just after 1:25 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15 just south of Flamingo Road, according to a Nevada Highway Patrol release.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, and NHP was notified around 8:30 a.m. that he had died.
Interstate 15 was shut down for several hours for the investigation.
