An officer with the Metropolitan Police Department has been injured in a shooting in the southwest valley, police said early Monday morning.
The shooting happened at 12:29 a.m. in the 4500 block of Pigeon Point Court, a neighborhood in the Spring Valley area, police said in a statement.
The officer “sustained injuries during this incident and has been transported to a hospital,” police said. The condition of the officer is unknown.
