UNLV women’s basketball coach Lindy La Rocque says this might be the toughest nonconference schedule the Lady Rebels have faced during her tenure.

Sure looks like it.

The 2026-27 slate was released Sunday and on it are several matchups against known programs, including national power Connecticut.

Thirteen games define the schedule, which will include the Hall of Fame Series Women’s Showcase game at T-Mobile Arena against USC, the annual UNLV Turkey tip-off, marquee home games against Arizona State and Cincinnati and a cross-country trip to visit UConn and Boston University.

“I’m excited for this young group to get battle tested and ready for (Mountain West) play,” La Rocque said in a statement. “We will continue to put our team under the brightest lights — against championship opponents — on the national stage, to showcase our program and elevate our brand.”

UNLV opens its season in the showcase against USC on Nov. 2. The event will feature two marquee men’s matchups — Arizona against UCLA and Gonzaga facing Purdue. On the women’s side, Arizona and Stanford will round out the four-team women’s portion.

UNLV will also begin an East Coast road trip by visiting UConn on Dec. 2 before taking on Boston University on Dec. 5.

The Lady Rebels after facing USC will feature a seven-game homestand, including a matchup with Arizona State on Nov. 10. UNLV closes out the month with its annual Turkey tip-off at Thomas & Mack Center, when Butler, Loyola Marymount and Oral Roberts come to town for games Nov. 25 and 27.

The full conference schedule will be released at a later date.
