Vegas Nation podcast recognized
Beginning this week, the Las Vegas Raiders start their season in the first of three preseason games on Thursday with hopes of an award-winning campaign.
The Review-Journal’s Vegas Nation podcast team already has started the season with an award under its belt.
The Associated Press Sports Editors group this offseason named the Vegas Nation podcast as one of the top 10 podcasts among large news organizations in the country.
That company includes the Alabama Media Group, Charlotte Observer, Houston Chronicle, Kansas City Star, San Antonio Express-News, The Minnesota Star Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Salt Lake Tribune and Yahoo Sports.
The Vegas Nation podcast — which focuses on all things Raiders — drops two-three times a week with beat reporters Adam Hill and Sam Gordon as hosts. Heidi Fang produces the podcasts, which also frequently feature columnist Ed Graney.
During the season, the podcasts will publish postgame on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays. It can be found on the podcast pages of Google, Apple and Spotify as well as other podcast homes.
