Jackie Young scored a game-high 28 points, leading the Las Vegas Aces to a 109-87 victory over Atlanta on Monday at State Farm Arena and snapping the Dream’s five-game winning streak.
Young poured in 19 first-half points while shooting 78% from the field, including three 3-pointers, helping the Aces build a 55-38 halftime lead.
A’ja Wilson added 23 points, six rebounds and three blocks while continuing her climb up the WNBA record books. The four-time MVP passed Lauren Jackson for sixth on the league’s all-time blocks list with 589 career blocks and moved past Katie Smith into 12th on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list.
The Aces improved to 13-2 against the Dream under coach Becky Hammon with a 29-18 all-time record in the series.
The victory also reinforced Las Vegas’ status as one of the league’s top road teams. Prior to Monday he Aces led the WNBA in road field-goal percentage (.498), field goals made (34.5) and assists (23.3) per game away from Michelob Ultra Arena.
