Las Vegas firefighters carried out the dramatic rescue of a person trapped in a sedan that collided with a packed transit bus Friday in a crash that injured 14.
A reporter observed firefighters cutting the roof off the crumpled white sedan in downtown Las Vegas, at the intersection of Fremont Street near 13th Street. After at least 20 minutes of effort by firefighters, someone with what appeared to be serious injuries was placed on a stretcher and wheeled to a nearby ambulance.
The Metropolitan Police Department said 14 people were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening from the crash that occurred just after 10 a.m.
