It was a tale of two halves for Las Vegas Aces stars A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young in a 104-99 victory over the New York Liberty on Thursday night at Michelob Ultra Arena.
Despite an uncharacteristically quiet opening half in which she shot just 20% from the field, Wilson took over after the break, finishing with a game-high 33 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.
Wilson, a four-time MVP, recorded her 14th double-double of the season and second straight while moving within two blocks of passing Lauren Jackson for sixth on the WNBA’s all-time blocks list.
On the other end, Young carried the offense early, pouring in 22 first-half points while knocking down three consecutive 3-pointers during the opening four minutes. She has now scored at least 20 points in three straight games and at least 15 in each of the Aces’ last five contests.
The victory was Las Vegas’ first over New York since Aug. 13, 2025, snapping a three-game losing streak in the series that included the Commissioner’s Cup championship on June 30.
