Intermountain Health held a ribbon cutting on Thursday for its Badura Clinic, the healtchare system’s largest clinic in Nevada.
Located in southwest Las Vegas off South Durango Drive and the 215 Beltway, the Badura Clinic is a 90,000-square-foot, three-story medical office building. It houses adult primary care, senior primary care, women’s health, rheumatology, diabetes, endocrinology, sports medicine, oncology, radiation therapy, infusion services and pediatrics.
The new clinic will allow for “seamless coordination” between primary care physicians and specialists, said Mitchell Cloward, Desert Region president for Intermountain Health.
Overall, the clinic took around two years to build, breaking ground in June 2024 and the first speciality, pediatrics, moving into the building in April. Intermountain purchased the project site in 2021 for $12.5 million, Clark County records show.
“It reduces fragmentation and the need for someone to continue to drive around town to different areas,” said Cloward, who also mentioned Intermountain has around 60 clinics scattered across the valley.
One of the key partnerships at the Badura Clinic is with Shriners Children’s, which will own and operate an independent pediatric orthopedic clinic within the new facility. In the future, Shriners will move to the Outpatient Services Center on the forthcoming Nevada Children’s Hospital campus.
The new clinic is also located just across the 215 Beltway from the forthcoming Nevada Children’s Hospital from Intermountain Health.
“We’re super excited about the proximity,” Dr. Sheryl Morelli, senior medical director for children’s health for the Intermountain Health Desert Region, said. “If we need them to go to inpatient setting, we can easily get them there in a very seamless and coordinated way.”
