The Hoover Dam will reopen to visitors Friday, according to a release from the Bureau of Reclamation.
The dam closed to visitors Monday for repair of the facility’s cableway system.
The dam and powerplant continued operating normally throughout the temporary closure, and employees maintained access to the facility through alternate routes, the release said.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience while our teams worked to protect visitor safety and resolve this issue,” said Reclamation Lower Colorado Basin Acting Regional Director Genevieve Johnson. “Safety is always our top priority.”
