A small fire burned a hotel room at a Strip resort Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.
The fire happened at 3 p.m. in a hotel room located at 3121 S. Las Vegas Blvd. The Encore Las Vegas resort is located at that address.
In a statement, the Clark County Fire Department said it responded to “reports of smoke in a hotel room” on the 56th floor. Firefighters found one room “filled with heavy smoke and fire sprinkler activation” and “confirmed the fire was extinguished.” The fire was contained to a single room.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
