Parents of Nevada, do you love your children? Why are you not holding accountable the Clark County School District Board of Trustees and the members of the state Board of Education who are siding with the failed educational establishment, unions and special interests?
The trustees just gutted the “Read by 3” initiative (July 12 editorial). When you sit around the dinner table tonight, look your children in the eye and explain why you are going along with this tragedy. Yes, some children may have to be retained. But in the end, when they improve their reading skills, studies show their achievement will soar and there will be nothing to hold back their success in life.
Parents, here is what you can do: Go to board meetings and express your feelings and vote out those who are against accountability. Moms and dads, it’s all up to you.
