Las Vegas Valley drivers whose vehicles failed their most recent emissions test may be eligible for a voucher to help with repair costs.
The Clark County Department of Environment & Sustainability is hosting a free event on July 30 where motorists can learn more about the agency’s “Smog Free Clark County” program and speak with staff about eligibility.
The agency advises that vehicles from model years 1968 through 2010 that fail an emissions test are eligible for repair assistance.
Drivers may qualify for a voucher worth up to $975 to repair their vehicle and get it back on the road, the county said in a news release.
The free event will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Windmill Library, 7060 West Windmill Lane.
The agency advises attendees to bring the following items to the event:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Failed emissions test or vehicle inspection report (VIR).
- Vehicle registration or title.
Spanish speaking representatives will also be in attendance. For more about the program, visit SmogFreeClarkCounty.com.
