A Las Vegas city worker accused of killing a colleague pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
Brysen Kim, 31, is accused of killing Joey McLean, 41, last month at a maintenance yard in the 400 block of North Seventh Street, near East Mesquite Avenue.
The two men had been locked in a monthslong workplace conflict. Kim told police he complained repeatedly about McLean harassing him. McLean’s wife has disputed claims her husband harassed Kim.
Kim told Chief District Judge Tierra Jones that he understood the proceedings and waived his right to a speedy trial.
He is on leave without pay, according to city spokesperson Jace Radke. Another judge previously ordered him to be held without bail.
