The Metropolitan Police Department released two body camera videos Friday depicting an emotional, chaotic scene at a Smith’s grocery store where two employees were slain inside the business in May.

The videos shows officers responding with lights and sirens to the store on Maryland Parkway at Silverado Ranch Boulevard in the southern Las Vegas Valley on May 12. Upon arriving. police find the bodies of Amanda Frias Rosas, 40, and Victor Frias Rosas, 43, dead in an aisle inside the business.

The father of Amanda Frias Rosas’ children has been charged with murder.

In one of the videos released Friday, an officer rushes to the front of the Smith’s and finds witnesses and others milling about. A woman walks up and talks to the officer, informing him the suspect in the shooting, Alejandro Estrada, 43, was detained by two men outside the store.

“We seen him running over there and a bunch of guys jumped on him and got his backpack with the gun,” said the woman who is wearing a shirt that says “How May I Help You?”

The officer shepherds witnesses at the front of the store to a safe, shaded location as other witnesses yell details at the officer. The officer then goes into the store and helps clear the store.

He ultimately finds an extremely hysterical female store employee hiding in a restroom.

The woman is heard wailing, telling the officer she’d called 911, and she appears reluctant to leave as the officer shows her her badge and tries to comfort her.

“Was it real? Was it real?” the woman asks as she walks toward the front of the store.

“Unfortunately yes,” the officer responds.

“My husband and my son are outside please take me to them,” the woman said as she continues to wail in grief.

The officer then walks the woman to her husband.

In another video, another officer arrives and goes inside the store a store employee tells him “Aisle four is where they are down at.”

The officer walks to aisle four and inspects the crime scene, which is blacked out in the video.

“There are some documents laying on the floor here,” the officer is heard saying.

Police said Estrada kept family court papers in a red folder, which he left with Frias Rosas’ body to “show police why he shot them,” according to the report.

A paramedic later arrives at the scene and the officer says “be careful be careful, we’ve got evidence right here behind you.”

The paramedic asks what happened as he arrives at the location of the bodies.

“I’m not sure man,” the officer said, adding “everyone came running out the store and this is what we’ve got.”

The officer then talks to other officers about clearing the rest of the building.

“Careful of evidence guys,” the officer says as paramedics look for signs of life from the victims but find none.

“You want me to just tape off produce all the way to here?” the officer is heard saying, before adding “it had something to do with a court hearing this morning is what it sounds like.”

Estrada, 43, has been charged with murder and multiple other felonies in the killings. Authorities have said Estrada had two children with Amanda Frias Rosas. The victims were off-duty but shopping in the store when they were slain.

According to police, Estrada admitted to the killings, saying that the woman was “ruining his life” by making him pay child support.
