LETTER: A blessing in professional sports

Over the years, I have pretty much lost my interest in professional sports. The amount of the contracts paid in most professional sports are obscene, I feel. Check your ticket prices.

But one blessing in the fog are our Athletics.

Weak division? Does not mean anything. One team will be in the postseason, period. Our Athletics, having to play this season in what amounts to 162 away games, should be applauded for every contribution they make, win or lose. I am now a big fan and believer.

Thank you, Las Vegas Athletics.
