Meet the 2026 Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada boys track and field team

First team

Brady Anderson, Faith Lutheran — The senior finished second in the 1,600 (1:53.36) and 3,200 (4:20.35) meters at the 5A state meet.

Mykal Arnold, Desert Oasis — The junior was the 5A state champion in the discus throw (165-11).

Dylan Chalmers, Liberty — The freshman was the 5A para state champion in the 100 (32.62) and 200 (56.51) meters, and shot put (12-7.5) and discus throws (29-7).

Elyjah Cobwell, Green Valley — Won the 4A state title in the 110-meter hurdles (15.00) and was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (40.68).

GianCarlo Crovetto Jr., Green Valley — Won the 4A state title in the long jump (22-6) and triple jump (46-5).

Rowlandis Eutsy, Desert Oasis — The sophomore was a first-team All-Southern Nevada jumper by the coaches and finished fourth at the 5A state meet in the high jump (6-2).

Deross Fields, Centennial — The senior finished second in the 300-meter hurdles (39.84) at the 5A state meet and helped the Bulldogs win the 5A state title in the 4×200-meter relay (1:26.69).

Ashton Hickman, Moapa Valley — The sophomore helped the Pirates win the 3A state title in the 4×400-meter relay (3:26.70) and was third in the 300-meter hurdles (39.78).

Luke Juden, Shadow Ridge — The senior was the 5A state champion in the pole vault (14-6).

Dilyn King, Basic — Won the 4A state title in the 400 meters (48.44), and helped the Wolves win the 4×100-meter (41.61) and 4×200-meter (1:25.43) relays.

Reese Leoncavallo, Green Valley — Won the 4A state title in the 800 (1:55.40), 1,600 (4:34.05) and 3,200 (9:51.34) meters, and helped the Gators win the 4×800-meter relay (8:11.16).

Kingston Lueck, Centennial — The senior was the 5A state champion in the 3,200-meter run (9:20.05) and helped the Bulldogs win the 4×800-meter relay (7:46.72).

Dannon Martin, Liberty — The junior was the 5A state champion in the 400 (47.21) and 800 (1:51.61) meters, and helped the Patriots finish second in the 4×400-meter relay (3:19.55).

Francis McCabe III, Legacy — The freshman was the 5A para state champion in the 400 (1:20.49), 800 (2:39.85), 1,600 (5:37.86) and 3,200 (11:28.35) meters.

Azavier Mekhi McDaniel, Bishop Gorman — The junior was the 5A state champion in the 100-meter dash (11.11) and long jump (23-3).

Jayden Patton, Mojave — Won the 4A state title in the 100 (10.68) and 200 (21.10) meters, and was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (40.68).

Calvin Rivera, Centennial — The junior helped the Bulldogs win the 5A state championship in the 4×800-meter relay (7:46.72), and finished third in the 3,200 (9:22.19) and fourth in the 1,600 (4:25.45) meters.

David Ross, Shadow Ridge — The sophomore was the 5A state runner-up in the shot put (54-1.5).

Noah Steenkamp, Coronado — The senior was the 5A state champion in the triple jump (44-10.0).

Brayden Vierra Gonzalez, Desert Oasis — The senior finished third in the 100 (11.21) and 200 (22.08) meters at the 5A state meet and helped the Diamondbacks finish second in the 4×100-meter (42.17) and 4×200-meter relays (1:27-11).

Coach of the year

Vanessa Nixon, Green Valley — She guided the Gators to the Class 4A team state championship.

Second team

Jermari Arnold, Liberty — The sophomore helped the Patriots finish third in the 4×200-meter relay (1:27.11) and finished seventh in the 100 (11.32) and 400 (51.23) meters at the 5A state meet.

Jason Benedict, Bishop Gorman — The senior was a second-team All-Southern Nevada distance runner by the coaches and helped the Gaels finish fourth in the 4×800-meter relay (7:56.45).

Jayden Crisler, Pahrump Valley — The senior was a second-team All-Southern Nevada selection by the coaches and was the 3A state runner-up in the triple jump (44-4.75).

Kai Cypher, Arbor View — The junior was a second-team All-Southern Nevada selection by the coaches as one of the area’s top hurdlers.

Benjamin DeSantiago, Pahrump Valley — The senior was the 3A state runner-up in the 400 meters (48.67) and finished third in the 100 meters (11.46).

Nehemiah Dunlap-Myvett, Centennial — The sophomore helped the Bulldogs win the 5A state title in the 4×100-meter (41.89) and 4×200-meter (1:26.69) relays, and finished fifth in the 200 meter dash (22.16).

Sawyer Hutton, Sky Pointe — The sophomore helped Sky Pointe finish second in the 4×800-meter relay (7:49.73) and finished fifth in the 1,600 (4:28.33) and eighth in the 3,200 (10:00.74) meters at the 5A state meet.

Jokai Johnson, Shadow Ridge — The senior helped the Mustangs win the 5A state title in the 4×400-meter relay (3:18.42), and finished third in the 400 meters (49.36).

Ryker Katich, Moapa Valley — The junior helped the Pirates win the 3A state title in the 4×400-meter relay (3:26.70) and finished third in the 110-meter hurdles (15.83).

Brayley Manning, Bishop Gorman — The freshman was the 5A state runner-up in the 100 meters (11.17) and was fourth in the 200 meters (22.15).

Tristan McGrane, Palo Verde — The senior finished third in the pole vault (13-6) at the 5A state meet.

Brady Morris, Desert Oasis — The senior finished third in the 110-meter hurdles (15.70) at the 5A state meet.

Maxwell Miles, Centennial — The junior was the 5A state runner-up in the long jump (23-2).

Randin Patty, Centennial — The junior helped the Bulldogs win the 5A state title in the 4×800-meter relay (7:46.72), and finished fifth in the 800 meters (1:55.21).

Shane Ramirez, Sky Pointe — The sophomore finished third in both the 800 meters (1:53.71), and helped Sky Pointe finish second in the 4×800-meter relay (7:49.72).

Quintyn Slack, Faith Lutheran — The sophomore finished second in the long jump (6-2) at the 5A state meet.

Dodge Tyra, Centennial — The junior was the 5A state runner-up in the pole vault (14-0).

Kenneth Ware, Losse — He was the 4A state runner-up in the 100 (10.69) and 200 (21.43) meters, and helped the Lions finish second in the 4×100-meter (41.96) and 4×200-meter (1:25.78) relays.

Gabriel Weimer, Coronado — The senior finished third in the shot put (52-0) at the 5A state meet.

Clifton Young Jr., Sierra Vista — He won the 4A state title in the discus throw (3-11.5).
