Police are investigating a shooting death Thursday morning in the southeast Las Vegas Valley.
The shooting was reported just before 8:40 a.m. on the 4900 block of Lana Drive, near East Harmon Avenue and South Nellis Boulevard, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
The investigation is ongoing. Metro Lt. Robert Price is scheduled to update the media on the situation at 12:45 p.m.
