Victor Davis Hanson’s commentary (May 10 Review-Journal) equating our radical left Democrats and their wealthiest, most privileged supporters to the Jacobins of the French Revolution was enlightening. The missing link in this equation is that Maximilien Robespierre, a member of the French elite, one of the most influential figures of the Revolution and advocate of the Reign of Terror, ended up getting his own head chopped off for his progressivism.
