The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting early Monday morning in the central Las Vegas Valley.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 4:02 a.m. in the 4100 block of South Maryland Parkway near Flamingo Road.
Police received reports of a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. A possible suspect has been detained.
Police said its homicide department is responding to the scene. Additional information will be provided during a press briefing.
