
Las Vegas police made nearly 80 DUI arrests over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to a social media post from the department.
The Metropolitan Police Department said in a post on X Tuesday morning that officers made 79 DUI arrests during what it called “Memorial Day DUI Blitz.”

The operation was conducted Saturday through Monday, according to the post.
In all, the department said the operation resulted in 398 citations, 79 DUI arrests, eight “other arrests,” two firearms recovered and 92 vehicles were towed.
“A reminder: we are towing vehicles and taking drivers off the road who are putting others at risk,” police said. “Driving is a privilege, not a right.”
