The Las Vegas Review-Journal has promoted Tracey Kennedy to a vice president role.
Kennedy has been promoted to vice president of marketing and events after serving as director of client strategy in the sales division since 2018. In her new position, she will communicate the RJ’s brand messaging, as well as coordinate and increase community events for the news organization.
“Tracey’s high caliber of work has earned her this position,” said Review-Journal Publisher and Editor Keith Moyer.
Previously, Kennedy worked for the Austin American-Statesman as a senior events manager, as well as for USA Today Co. as a regional director for client solutions.
“I am honored and excited for this incredible opportunity,” Kennedy said. “I’m eager to expand how we engage our audience, grow our events, and tell the story of our brands in new and meaningful ways.”
In another move by the Review-Journal, Wanda Blair will transition from her role as vice president of marketing to vice president of community engagement. Blair has worked at the Review-Journal since 2018.
“In this new capacity, Wanda will lead efforts to deepen our relationships with key community stakeholders, including civic organizations, educational institutions, nonprofits and business groups,” Moyer said. “Her work will help extend our brand’s reach and impact, while keeping the Review-Journal closely connected to the communities we serve.”
Blair said she is “truly humbled to take on the role at such an important time for the Review-Journal.”
“My experience in marketing and journalism has underscored the importance of connecting with our readers, and I look forward to building deeper relationships across Southern Nevada,” she said. “Strengthening trust, elevating local voices, and advancing our role as a civic leader will be central to how we serve and support our community.”
