
A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning in the central Las Vegas Valley.
The crash occurred just before 10:35 a.m. in the area of Paradise and East Flamingo roads, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and impairment is not suspected at this time, police said.
East Flamingo between Paradise and Palos Verdes Street will be shut down to vehicle traffic in both directions.
