Two Henderson assistant city managers are resigning, a spokesperson said Wednesday.
Assistant City Manager Angela Summers’ last day is scheduled for Dec. 3 and Assistant City Manager Alyssa Rodriguez’s last day is Sept. 23, the city’s public information office said in an email.
Summers and Rodriguez were still listed Wednesday on an organizational chart on the city’s website as two of the three assistant city managers who report to City Manager Stephanie Garcia-Vause. Their departures come after the city announced in July that another assistant city manager, Lisa Corrado, was departing to pursue a new professional opportunity.
Rodriguez accepted a position in the private sector, the city said, adding the city and Summers “agreed to amicably part ways.” The assistant city manager position held by Corrado is being filled in the interim by Eddie Dichter, the director of the city’s community development and services department.
“We thank them for their contributions and service to our City and residents,” the city said of Summers and Rodriguez. “The City will evaluate our organizational needs and determine the appropriate leadership structure moving forward. In the interim, responsibilities will continue to be managed through the City Manager’s Office to ensure continuity of operations and service to the community.”
Rodriguez was named assistant city manager in July 2024, according to her bio on the city’s website. She previously served as the city’s director of information technology and began working for the city in 2008 as a project manager.
Summers’ bio states she also joined the city in 2008 and became an assistant city manager in 2025 after previously serving as the director of the city’s parks and recreation department.
Rodriguez declined to comment. Summers could not immediately be reached for comment.
