A woman involved in a two-vehicle crash last month in the central Las Vegas Valley has died.
The victim, a 50-year-old Las Vegas woman, died Monday, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release Wednesday.
The crash occurred just after 1:15 p.m. Aug. 18 on South Eastern Avenue south of the intersection with Pueblo Way, south of Desert Inn Road. Investigators say a 2023 Kia Telluride was northbound on Eastern when the driver of a southbound 2014 Nissan Sentra failed to maintain their lane and crashed into the Kia.
Both drivers were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. The Nissan’s driver was admitted; the Kia’s driver was treated and later released. There were no indications of impairment from either driver.
The death marks the 84th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2026. The crash remains under investigation by Metro’s Collision Investigation section.
