Opposing data centers is all the rage right now. After being for them, the political class is now against them. What changed? What we are witnessing is the spineless politicians sticking their fingers in the air to see which way the wind is blowing so they know how to follow suit. Especially since the midterms are coming in about 60 days.
The new data centers being built now are practically self-contained. They recycle their own water and they are being put up with their own power source and not interfering with the grid. It’s practically a no-brainer. Jobs, tax revenue, etc…
The public needs to wake up. A lot of this opposition is being driven by Chinese bot farms. Generally speaking, if your enemy is promoting one thing, you should be looking in the opposite direction for the right thing. Instead, we have politicians seeking reelection at any cost.
