Tropical storms in the Pacific Ocean are pushing moisture into the Las Vegas Valley that could put a damper on Labor Day weekend plans for Sunday.
The National Weather Service office in Las Vegas posted on X a forcasted line of showers and a chance of thunderstorms that will form and travel generally along Interstate 15, creating slick road conditions with steady light-to-moderate rain expected throughout the region.
The largest forecast rainfalls are expected to hit the western mountains adjacent to the valley.
The rain band comes from moisture from Hurricane Marie, Hurricane Lowell and Tropical Storm Karina, all churning in the eastern Pacific.
Commutes could be impacted and there is potential for air traffic delays due to the rain and low clouds.
