
A woman died after being pulled from a house fire Tuesday morning in Las Vegas.
Crews from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue and the Clark County Fire Department were called at 6:23 a.m. for the fire at a two-story residence in the 1600 block of Muinos Street, near South Hualapai Way and West Charleston Boulevard, according to a City of Las Vegas release.
Firefighters found visible smoke and flames upon arrival. Crews began operations to contain the fire and search for possible occupants. A 61-year-old woman was found and rescued from the residence. The fire was extinguished at 6:38 a.m.
The woman was taken to University Medical Center. Despite resuscitative efforts, she was pronounced dead at 7:18 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damages are estimated at $50,000.
