
In response to your Sunday story, “U.S. plans to pay $850M of the $5B it owes U.N.:
It wasn’t too long ago that I recall President Trump chiding European countries for failing to meet their NATO defense-spending commitments. Now I read that the United States itself has accumulated billions of dollars in unpaid obligations to the United Nations.
The circumstances may not be identical, but shouldn’t we hold ourselves to the same standard we expect of other countries?
